A free specialist lease advice session hosted jointly by Cllr Linda Tyler-Lloyd and Assembly Member Suzy Davies has been hailed as a success.
Linda Tyler-Lloyd, councillor for Mayals ward since 2012, and Suzy Davies, regional AM for South Wales West, teamed up to host the Leasehold Advisory Service so they could provide free specialist advise to residents living in park homes.
Cllr Tyler-Lloyd said that a number of residents living in park homes in her ward have raised questions and concerns with her recently.
“I thought the best way to help my residents was to get some specialist advice for them.
“The Leasehold Advisory Service were fantastic in providing information to local residents and I know we were able to help with a lot of questions people had."
Hosted in Vivian Hall at Blackpill, the meeting was open to all residents and included specialist advisors from the Leasehold Advisory Service providing details of the current law, as well as recent changes and the rights that residents have.
Suzy Davies, the Welsh Conservative AM for South Wales West, said: “In Mayals as well as in parts of Gower there are residents living in park homes.
“The session gave lost of residents the opportunity to not only hear about their rights under the current law in Wales, but also raise questions."
