Nigel Evans MP, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, returned to Swansea to officially open the new offices of the Swansea West and Gower Conservatives last Friday.

The offices at 11 St James Gardens, which are a joint venture between the local Conservative associations and Assembly Members Byron Davies and Suzy Davies, are also their latest offices to be opened for the South Wales West region.

Nigel Evans, who grew up in Swansea and was educated at the local Dynevor School before gaining a BA in Politics from Swansea University, said “It is wonderful to be able to return once again to Swansea to celebrate this new and exciting step for the Conservative Party.”

The Deputy Speaker, who also returned earlier this year to receive an Honorary Degree from Swansea University, went on to say “it is always nice to be greeted by friends, both old and new, whenever I come home and this is no exception. Everyone has worked hard to bring this new facility to Swansea and I know the hard work will not stop now.”

Suzy Davies AM said “The new offices will provide us with yet another base to be able to work out of within the South Wales West region and assist us further in working both with and for our constituents.”

Fellow Assembly Member, Byron Davies, added “these offices will give people even more of an opportunity to be able to have their say and discuss with us the matters which are most important to them.”
