Emma Lane, Swansea West Conservatives, candidate for the General Election, has pledged to make politics appeal to everyone.

Mrs Lane, selected as the Tory candidate for next May, said: "I understand what hard working families have been going through these last few years as I am part of one.

I do however firmly believe in empowerment and being in charge of your own destiny.  I want to make politics appeal to ordinary people, just like me, and encourage everyone to have their say."

Emma Lane, who works for a bank and specialises in working with Small and Medium sized business, was selected from a shortlist by the membership of Swansea West Conservative Association on Fridat 19 September.

On her selection, the mother of three said "I am thrilled to have been selected as the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Swansea West.

"I am here to represent the people of Swansea West and ensure everyone has a voice. Come and join the conversation, tell us what you think and how we can work for you as together we can make a difference."
